The past few years John and I have had no luck with our cars. Every year we have some pretty expensive car repairs not on just one but both cars. Last year the Saturn had to have a repair that we had done two times before and it cost over $400. And that was just one of the repairs that we had to do on the car. Now the van this past week had to have a repair done on it that I had done 13 months ago. Thank goodness for a warranty because we would have had to fork out $1200 for just that one repair alone. That wasn't the only repair the car needed either. The one repair was covered by the warranty and the warranty people were not too happy having to pay for a repair they had paid for last year either. When the dealership called me at told me that I would have to pay an additional $1200 for the other repairs that were needed I about feel over. Good thing I did some calling around and priced compared because doing so saved me $625. Yes, you heard me right I saved over 50% by getting comparison quotes and I still had the dealership do it. Now the the van is fixed we now have to deal with the Saturn. The A/C is not working and it is making a funny rattling sound. We will bring it in next week and see what the damage will be. I know that our cars are not new by any means but it seems like we have had bad luck with cars. I have several friends who have cars just as old or older then mine and they don't seem to have the repair issues we have had. Oh well, I guess I should be grateful that I didn't have to come across the plains in a wagon!
