Tonight I was laying with Paige in her bed and we were discussing her going to 1st grade in a few weeks. After we talked about how she is excited and can't wait to see her teacher she asks when she is going to get her shots. I say you don't need to get shots. She then reminds me that last year before she went to school she had to get shots. I tell her that you only have to get them before you start kindergarten. She then tells me that she was so happy that she didn't need to get shots and that she got four shots last year and had a bird band-aid where the shots were. What kid remembers stuff like that. It has been over a year since she got those shots. This kid amazes me sometimes. I just hope she uses her amazing memory to help her in school. I always thought of myself has having a pretty good memory, especially with remembering people and their names. John also shares this gift . We have both discussed how sometimes we feel pretty awkward in situations where we remember someone and their name and why we know them. To only find out the other person has no idea who we are. But my memory does not hold a candle to Paige's. I guess she got my memory and her dad's so it is doubly good!

Mom, I'm sre(sorry)
Today Paige was being a big pill. It was time to take her friend home and she didn't want her to go so she put up a big stink. I finally got her in the car and told her that when we returned she would be going straight to her bedroom for timeout. When we arrived at her friends house Paige had calmed down but I reminded her that she still would be going to her room. I took her friend to her door and talked to her mom for a few minutes while the kids stayed in the car. When I returned to the car Paige handed me this note....
(If it is hard for you to see this is what it says..."Im sre thet I wuzz Bad Mom I Love You Love Paige.")
I had no idea that she had a pen and paper in the car with her. She is so funny. When John got home I told him what happened and showed him the note. He promptly asked "Did you send her to her room?" I said "No." And he said "She sure knows how to work you."

Inspiring Blog
A few weeks ago I was reading someones blog and read a post about another blog that had really touched them. Being the blog stalker that I am I decided to go to this particular blog and check it out. I was also very touched and inspired. The author of the blog is a mother who recently lost her one year old daughter in a drowning accident. She seems to post fairly regularly and talks about what she is going through. She makes you realize how precious our little ones are. Every time I visit her blog I end up crying my eyes out. Her blog makes me think about what if one of my children were to die. I don't know what I would do. I would be an absolute mess. Her blog is very honest and candid. When you see the pictures of her little girl you will just melt. It is especially sad to go back on her blog about a month ago and see posts about this little girl only to know that now this little girl is no longer on this earth. Her story is very inspirational and touching. It makes you realize the hand of Heavenly Father in our lives. How we are never alone and he is always there for us. We must always remember that he knows what we can handle and what we can't. I am so glad that I have the gospel in my life. I know that this mother will be reunited with her daughter one day. I can't imagine my life without having this knowledge. This mother knows this too and she talks about the great strength the gospel brings. If you would like you can go to this blog too the address is www.adailyscoop.blogspot.com. I am sure that you too will come away being inspired to be a little better, and not sweating the small stuff. That is something that I struggle with everyday and I still do but after reading this blog it puts everything into perspective and makes you realize that our families are the most important thing that we possess.

You know you have a blogging problem when...
Your five year makes up a song about blogging. It is so funny to me that Paige knows what blogging is and every once in a while she will ask me if I am taking pictures so I can blog about it. She is too funny!

Brag Post
Well, school is finally out!!! The past few weeks have been so busy. Last week Paige received an award for being a "brillant bobcat" at her school. She received this award because she completed a list of tasks that the school had set forth. For instance, counting to 10, writing to 50 and knowing your address and phone number. She was so excited to get this award! To celebrate we took her to the drive inn last friday and saw Wall-E. Johnny also finished preschool last week. His last day he had a water party and boy did he love it. I can see a huge improvement in his language and his behavior since he has been in preschool. He loves to ride the bus and see his teacher Miss Porter. He won't start up again till school starts again. Last week we also received Paige's report card. We were so proud of her she got all straight 4's which would equate to straight A's. She has made huge improvements this school year and I am so proud of her. She started the year with some 2's and 3's and ended up getting 4's. She also is reading above grade level. Now to Coen. He is getting so fast at crawling, is cutting a tooth and now stands up in his crib. He is growing up so fast. I know this is a bragging post. But I want to remember some of these things in the future. If I don't preserve it somewhere I won't remember. I am so proud of all my kids and their various talents and I am so glad that they each have their own gifts and that they aren't all the same. Wouldn't it be a boring life if we all had the same strengths and weaknesses. Aren't kids amazing!!

This is what I woke up to this morning...
I couldn't believe it. He isn't nine months yet and he is already sitting up by himself in his crib and now he is standing up by himself in his crib. They grow up so fast!
