Our Late Christmas Letter

As most of you know I didn't get a Christmas card out this year. So here are some of the fun and exciting things that happened to each of us.

John- John is the ultimate SUPERFAN. John went to two away games this year and loved them. He went to UNLV and Wyoming. John had always wanted to go to Laramie so his brother Devon and one of Devon's friends and John made the trek. In years past John has attended more away games but due to the new arrival he compromised. Even when we lived in California John and I had season tickets. I call that dedication. John also was very happy when BYU beat Utah once again!

Michelle- In February I got to visit my good friend Dana in London with NO KIDS!!!! It was a great time. I went with my sister and we got to see so many great things. It was so fun going into the city and riding the double Decker buses. Of course me and my paranoia thought at one point one of the buses had a terrorist on it and he was going to blow the bus up. I was so afraid that I wanted to get off of the bus, but the guy got off just before I persuaded the other girls to get off. I still maintain that I think he was a terrorist and one day I will see his picture on some wanted poster by the FBI.(HAHA!!) In October I gave birth to our third child Coen Lars Black. He is so calm and mellow. I don't know how we were blessed with such a great baby but it's GREAT!!!

Paige- Paige started Kindergarten this year and loves it. She loves her teacher and loves having two recesses. She loves her new baby brother and tries to play with him whenever she can. She loves Hannah Montana and was able to go to her concert with her dad. She loved the songs and sang along to most of them.

Johnny- There are three words that can describe Johnny. HE LOVES BUZZ. He will not go anywhere without him or them(there are many buzz lightyear's, and all shapes and sizes). He was buzz for Halloween and got several buzz's for his birthday and Christmas. "To Infinity and Beyond!"

Coen- He loves his big sister who always wants to hold him and he loves his big brother who is always trying to hug him and tells him "All better". He is a sweet little boy and such a great baby. He loves to smile at everyone especially is his Great Grandma Rieske. He is a great addition to our family.

We hope all of you had a Merry Christmas. We are so grateful for our family and the many blessing which we have. We are so grateful for the gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Love- John, Michelle, Paige, Johnny and Coen Black

What we did this Saturday...

This morning got off to a very eventful start. I was suppose to go down to John's grandma's house with all the other grand daughters and help her organize and scrapbook old pictures. As all you mothers out there might know already, things don't always go the way you planned when you have little kids. Yesterday Paige was showing signs of her coming down with some sort of cold and we made sure she was staying away from the baby. Well, the baby seems to be fine today but Paige was not. When she woke up she had two red eyes, a rash on her face and a very nasty looking nose. We went to the Dr. and found out that she had a sinus infection, impetigo and conjunctivitis. John took a picture of her so you all could see. We had to coerce Paige to take this picture. She didn't want others to see her nose in this condition(Yes, the insecurities about how you look do start at 5).So if you see Paige in the future don't mention her nose in the picture, we don't want to scar her for life!!! And yes in the picture you will find Paige with a Hannah Montana doll. Before I left for the store with my mom Paige informed me that if I saw something that she liked, "I had to get it for her". So her "pushover grandma" got it for her! Paige has already mastered the art of manipulation at the age of five. My mom felt so bad for her she couldn't resist getting the doll for her.

Our First Blog

Here I am finally starting a blog. Most of our friends and family have started blogs and have been asking when we were going to start one, so here it goes. I was a little reluctant as I am not the most eloquent of writers so please bear with me.
